High doses of subconjunctival corticosteroid and antibody-forming cells in the eye and draining lymph nodes

After the intracorneal injection of rabbit eyes with bovine gamma-globulin,
the subconjunctival administration of a corticosteroid in either the
ipsilateral or contralateral eye resulted in essentially the same changes:
a reduction in the number of antibody-forming cells in the draining lymph
nodes and a reduction in the ocular inflammatory response.
