Arch Ophthalmol. 1998;116:958-959.

We have developed a new instrument for marking and trephination of the cornea for penetrating keratoplasty surgery. The instrument is an ergonomically designed combination of a corneal marker and a trephine.

From The Johns Hopkins Microsurgery Advanced Design Laboratory (Mr Duronio), The Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md (Mr Duronio and Drs O'Brien and Gottsch). The instrument herein will be manufactured by Storz Instrument Co, St Louis, Mo. The Microsurgery Advanced Design Laboratory may receive royalties related to the sale of this instrument. All participants have assigned their royalties to defray operating costs of the laboratory.
