Four patients, three after renal transplantation and one after heart-lung
transplantation, developed visual loss in both eyes associated with
geographic zones of disruption and coarse clumping of the pigment
epithelium in the posterior fundi. Secondary retinal detachment occurred
bilaterally in three patients. Localized choroidal intravascular
coagulation is the suspected but unproven cause.
